Run for Biodiversity - Fundraiser for Nepali farmers

Are you a Runner or a Walker?
We're looking for dedicated supporters to Walk or Run for Biodiversity as part of the GoodLife Fitness Victoria Marathon, half marathon and 8km races on October 13th.
- All R4B-Victoria runners and walkers who commit to raising $100 will receive a specially-designed Run for Biodiversity T-shirt in appreciation for their fundraising efforts.
- As a special thank you, the top 10 R4B-Victoria fundraisers will be registered for free!
Where do Donations go?
All donations will go to support USC's work with seed-saving farmers in remote regions of the South Asian country of Nepal.
Our R4B-Victoria goal in 2013 is to raise $8,000 to support the community-based agricultural, biodiversity and environmental initiatives of our local NGO partners in Nepal.
Our partners are working with women and men farmers to help ensure they have a diverse and healthy seed supply in order to grow nutrititous food for their families.
Why Run or Walk for Biodiversity?
Biodiversity is all about food and farmers. It's the earth's life-support system, and nature's brilliant insurance policy against disaster. If something fails, there's a back-up plan: Biodiversity! Much is at stake for us all, and in a real sense, USC is helping farmers plant the Seeds of our very Survival.
