Bring Your Boomers: Intergenerational Dialogue Party

As technology and globalization speed forward, the generations have become divided. "Bring Your Boomers" celebrates three generations of influencers, innovators and idealists, coming together in dialogue around new and old forms of civic participation, influencing how we collectively shape our city, province, country and planet.
Dialogue format:
We will have two on-stage dialogue sessions -- each consisting of a Gen Y’er, X’er and Baby Boomer, sharing ideas and stories in order to unpack what it means to be an "activist" and how we can turn activism into a common social practice.
Why:
We need to work together - across generations, ideologies and disciplines in order to re-imagine a different society.
Speakers:
Judy Rebick (journalist, political activist and feminist) - BOOMER
Phil Fontaine (previous National Chief of Canada) - BOOMER
Andrea Reimer (Vision Vancouver City Councilor) - X'er
John Richardson (Pivot Legal Society / Party X) - X'er
Emily Hunter (environmental advocacy journalist) - Y'er
Jamie Biggar (Co-Founder and Executive Director of LeadNow.ca) - Y'er
Entertainment:
Crowd engagement by Mike Sheehan from Beatboard, theater performance by Tiger Milk Collective, a magic show, door prizes and local art. Music by renowned recording artist Aidan Knight and surprise guest!
