The tradition of presenting a brilliant mix of amazing music from around the world continues!
Mission Folk Music Festival 2011 brings you extraordinary music from Europe and the North Atlantic, from Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Spain’s Basque region and from across Canada and the U.S. You’ll hear hot Celtic tunes, banjos, fiddles, harps and guitars, powerful singer-songwriters, Sami yoiks, a little bit of Louisiana lilt, ancient songs from the Siberian steppes, Kyrgyz dancing and brilliant Belgian bagpipers. And get ready for The Church of the Blues, featuring 25 of the hottest blues players from both sides of the Mission Bridge and from down-river, too. Wow!
