It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the 10th International Conference on Mercury as a Global Pollutant (ICMGP) to be held in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada from July 24-29, 2011. The ICMGP was initiated in Gävle, Sweden in 1990, and is now the preeminent international forum for discussion of science and policy issues related to mercury in the environment. The ICMGP series is held every two to three years. Previous conference locations include Monterey, USA (1992), Whistler, Canada (1994), Hamburg, Germany (1996), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (1999), Minamata, Japan (2001), Ljubljana, Slovenia (2004), Madison, USA (2006) and Guiyang, China (2009). With recent meetings attracting many hundreds to over a thousand conferees, this meeting is the venue to present your exciting and novel findings, and to hear about the most recent and important advances in mercury research.
