2011 Communications Workers of America National Women's Conference
August 21, 2011 to August 23, 2011
This conference is designed with a unique blend of presentations to learn about the past & how to bring about positive change in the future. REGISTRATION DEADLINE is August 5th, 2011
Letter from Annie Hill Dear CWA Activists: I enthusiastically encourage all CWA women and men to join us at this important conference.
One hundred years ago, the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire, a disaster that claimed the lives of young women & immigrants, led to an explosion of changes in safety regulations and union organizing. Today, women are disproportionately affected by an anti-worker, anti-union assault in the US. We can help change this course of action.
Please join the CWA Women's Committee at this informative Conference designed to mobilize members by applying lessons from the past to find solutions to today's problems in today's world. The Conference will be packed with energetic speakers, interactive presentations and workshops that both teach and motivate participation in the current struggles women face. Once again, union women can be the "spark for change."
See you in Chicago, In Unity,
Annie Hill Executive Vice President
