Palestinian Cuisine at Beit Zatoun
May 07, 2011
This first class consists of prize-winning recipes and methods for the "BIG 3" appetizers - hummus, babaghannouj and tabbouleh. PLUS, bonus of a dish which is lesser-known in the west but highly appreciated in Palestine - "fuul mudammas" (made with fava beans).
Do not be fooled by poor imitations - it takes more than a Cuisinart to make exquisite, authentic Palestinian appetizers. Taught by the ever-energetic Nellie Bannayan who will prepare dishes from scratch and demonstrate her tried and true secrets. Recipe sheets will be available.
Participants will feast on the resulting dishes. Served with pita and Middle Eastern refreshments.
