Permaculture Design Course, at Whole Village Ecovillage (July 17 - 30)

Whole Village Farm and Ecovillage is hosting the Permaculture Design Course for the first time on our permaculture designed farm. The course is a 13-day (72 hour minimum) intensive program combining theory and practical activities. Through lectures, discussion, slide shows and hands-on learning, participants will learn the basic permaculture principles and develop the skills to design and implement sustainable systems. Great for urban and rural application. Gregoire Lamoureux (B.C. permaculture designer, consultant, and teacher with over 20 years experience) will be the main instructor with 3 local guest teachers. Topics include: ecological landscape design, ecoforestry, organic gardening, ecological building, soil fertility, composting, edible landscaping, fruit and nut production, poultry care, water harvesting, appropriate technology and ecovillage design.
