EEON - Environmental Education Ontario - Annual General Meeting 2011

Mark your calendars for the EEON Annual General Meeting.
On the agenda will be a discussion of a new proposed direction for EEON. That role is to become a fully-fledged charitable organization, that focuses on capacity-building for the outdoor (OE), environmental and sustainability education (ESE) sector here in Ontario.
A second item will be a discussion of a proposed innovative project in "deep learning," as The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation refers to learning that "delivers the skills and knowledge students will need to succeed in a world that is changing at an unprecedented pace." It prepares learners to:
* master core academic content
* think critically and solve complex problems
* work collaboratively
* communicate effectively
* learn how to learn (self-directedness)
