Never Again for Anyone: Hajo Meyer, Auschwitz survivor
February 01, 2011
Join us in welcoming Dr. Hajo Meyer, who will be sharing the lesson of his experience in Auschwitz: Never Again for Anyone. Dr. Meyer will be on tour in the U.S. and Toronto is his only Canadian stop.
Dr. Meyer will be joined by Lee Maracle, acclaimed writer and member of the Sto: Loh nation and Khaled Mouammar, president of the Canadian Arab Federation (CAF) to discuss the urgency of this message in Canada and the U.S. today.
In the face of the on-going ethnic cleansing of Palestine, attacks and persecution of Muslim and Arab communities in Canada and the U.S., the repression of dissent on campuses, the continued military occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan and the on-going struggles of Black, immigrant, indigenous, queer and disabled communities for their rights, we assert a commitment to collective humanity against the application of "never again" to only a few.
$10 or PWYC (No one will be turned away for lack of funds)
Time: 7:00 - 9:00 pm
Venue: Winchevsky Centre
Location: 585 Cranbrooke Avenue Toronto, ON
