How to Criticize Israel w/o Being Antisemitic

January 24, 2019

White nationalism and antisemitic rhetoric and actions are on the rise in Canada and throughout the world.

For those who support justice for Palestinians, how do we also recognize and address antisemitism? What is and what is not antisemitism in the context of working in solidarity with Palestinians?

At the recent Independent Jewish Voices conference in Toronto, Hannah Gold of the UK group, Jewdas, led a stimulating session on this topic and shared the Jewdas materials so that others could reproduce the experience.

Come join us for a potluck dinner and a workshop/discussion about this important topic. We welcome both Jews and non-Jews to this workshop. We recognize both the internal struggles of Jewish communities in relation to these issues and the particular challenges for non-Jews when accusations of antisemitism are used to silence criticism of Israel.

Facilitated by Rachel Epstein, Anton Guz, and Marylin Kanee
