Systemic Racism: Civic Action in Response to Public Inaction- Round Table

On the occasion of the Semaine d'actions contre le racisme, the Conseil interculturel de Montreal is organizing a roundtable on the issue of systemic racism. If racism is morally and politically unacceptable, it is nevertheless a phenomena rooted in our plural societies. Racism manifests itself in different manners, at multiple levels and in diverse domains. It structures, directs and transforms relations, practices, discourses and institutions. In this roundtable, we would like to shed lights on the daily effects of systemic racism while suggesting actions and intervention to be undertake to make sure it will be less efficient. To do so, we invited panelists that are engaged in diverse field to share with us their reflection on this issue of systemic racism.
This is a bilingual event.
