Urgent call for Jerusalem
December 09, 2017
The "Palestine House" condemns, in the strongest terms possible, the decision by Mr. Donald Trump, president of the United States of America, to recognize Jerusalem (Al-Quds) as Capital of the state of Israel. Mr. Trump takes this step in obvious violation of International Law and all norms of moral and ethical standards in an attempt to take public attention away from his political troubles at home.
In so doing, Mr. Trump has made it impossible for the United States toward any meaningful role in any peace efforts between the Palestinians and Israelis. Indeed, he has destroyed any possibility for peace in that part of the world for the foreseeable future.
