Conversations the Global Goals
December 05, 2017
We Are the First Generation that Can End Poverty, and the Last that Can End Climate Change -Former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon
The UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity. While the goals represent a shared vision for a better future, the global scope of the goals can feel overwhelming. The SDG dialogue series is an opportunity for people who care about social and environmental issues to connect with each other and learn from guest speakers working in the area of each of the goals. Together we will:
-Explore the issue from a global and local perspective -Learn about local initiatives to achieve action on the goals -Identify barriers and share strategies for overcoming these challenges -The dialogue series is organized by and for people who care about taking action on the sustainable development goals. It is NOT an offical UN event.
