I Am Human
December 01, 2017
This is the first conference in Canada that will be a part of the United Nations' Know Your Goals Campaign that will be addressing such an issue. The United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network will actively be looking at Canadian participation in this event.
I Am Human is the first in a series in which we will be discussing Sustainable Development Goal #4. "Monitor and end discrimination and inequalities in public service delivery, the rule of law, access to justice, and participation in political and economic life on the basis of gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, national origin, and social or other status."
We will have a panel of five individuals from different communities in Toronto/Canada as a whole speaking about their experiences of not having access to public services. The communities that will be represented are refugee/newcomer, LGBTQ+, Indigenous, and Women. As well we will have a social service worker who will be speaking about the framework of accessing public services.
