ANY OTHER WAY: How Toronto Got Queer
May 26, 2017
The United Jewish People's Order is delighted to be joined by editors John Lorinc and Maureen Fitzgerald and several contributors to ANY OTHER WAY, including Amy Gottlieb, Rahim Thawer, Anu Radha Verma and Rachel Epstein. Join us for a potluck dinner and panel that will include scintillating readings, juicy conversation and lots of queer politics!
An eclectic and richly illustrated local history that reveals how Toronto led the way in queer activism, not just in Canada, but internationally. From the earliest pioneers to the parades, pride and politics of the contemporary era, ANY OTHER WAY draws on a range of voices to explore how the residents of queer Toronto have shaped and reshaped one of the world's most diverse cities.
