Overviews, Guides, Introductions, and Focus PagesThe Connexions website has tens of thousands of pages and images related to many different issues and topics. To help you navigate the site and find what you are looking for (or perhaps what you didn’t even know you were looking for) Connexions offers a variety of overview pages designed to provide introductions and pathways to exploring different topics and issues. A number of those pages are listed below. They also all provide links to the Subject Index as well as to individual articles and books. The Subject Index and the Search engine are tools designed to help you explore Connexions as well as to do in-depth research.
Search and Find Connexions features multiple tools to help you find what you’re looking for:
Connexions Search simultaneously performs two kinds of searches. Results are presented in two columns. Search results for the different parts of the library and directory are currently presented separately, below each other. Resources (books, articles, films, etc) are first; followed by groups; followed by experts and resources found in www.sources.com, the resource portal for journalists. NOTE that the Connexions Search in NOT a full-text search. We use a system of pre-coordinated subject headings because this makes for more relevant results than a full-text Google-style search. ![]() |
