Abstract: 
From October to December 1985, THEATRE PARMINOU will tour from Ontario to British Columbia, presenting "Le Cirque de l'Impossible Amerique" in English or French.

The theme of the 45-minute play, created in 1983, is peace and disarmament. A group of clowns travels from east to west and north to south discovering famine, repression and tension between countries, as well as weapons systems going from north to south and Canada's direct participation in militarization. In spite of this, the clown's energy is stronger than their fear and together they imagine specific actions which would contribute to increasing international peace and justice.

Each performance is follwed by a public discussion.

The compnay is seeking local sponsorship across the country. It is supported by Project Plowshares and the Touring Office of the Canada Council.
