Abstract:
"THE WORLD CITIZENS CENTRE is a resource centre concerned with increasing public awareness and individual understanding of the links between Canadians and Third World peoples. Resources are maintained and programs are developed to examine:

- the inter-relations of all peoples both economically and culturally;
- the effects of economic and consumer practices on the lives of others;
- the need for greater care of the enviornment and natural resources."

The CENTRE deals with such topics as famine, disarmament, intermediate technology, unemployment, North-South dialogue, and environment. Its services include a reading and viewing room, a collection of print and media materials, and the provision of speakers and programmes for schools and community organizations. Programme development , finance, resource selections and other committees help define the CENTRE'S direction. Membership in the CENTRE is $5 per year. Members can make use of its resources at a reduced rate and receive a monthly newsletter.
