Abstract:
Pawlick an organic farmer from Easter Ontario argues that corporate factory farming has done the following: increased the toxic content of food - namely the residue of pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics and growth hormones while diminishing its nutritional value. He uses the example of the tomato. Our present day tomato has less vitamins and minerals and more sodium and fat than it did 40 years ago. His travel takes us from the fields of California to a wild-life management project in Zimbabwe to address the issues associated with the factory farming industry.
