Purpose: Mines Action Canada (MAC) is the Canadian component of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines (ICBL). The coalition's primary concern is the human and socio-economic impact of landmines. It is committed to a complete ban on use, production, stockpiling and trade of anti-personnel mines and weapons with similar effect and to ensuring the needs and aspirations of people physically, socially and economically affected by mines are met.
