Purpose: An organization of Vancouver Jews whose purpose is to build support in our community for a fair and just solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Recognizing the inequality in the power of the two parties, we believe such a solution will be found through co-operation and dialogue, not through violence and intransigence. We are allied with similar Jewish, Palestinian and other groups, both within and outside Israel and the occupied territories, working in solidarity toward peace. We believe in the right of Israel to live in peace and security. We also believe in the right of the Palestinian people to live in peace and security, and to establish a viable independent state in the whole of the West Bank and Gaza Strip should they so wish. We believe that Israel, and any future Palestinian state, should be democracies with equal rights for all their citizens regardless of ethnicity. This does not preclude the possible eventual establishment of one democratic bi-national state, with equal rights for both peoples.
