Charity Nice, but No Solution

Catherine Porter rightly applauds the generosity shown by David Rothberg in donating money for public skating. More of this kind of generosity is fine but one must be clear that this is no funding model. We need a proper progressive tax system in which the rich pay their fair share. We would have more money for all kinds of things that we value that way.
