Abstract: 
Aaron Russo goes on a quest to uncover the truth about the Federal Income tax in the USA only to discover that there is no law in place stating that people have to pay their income tax. The documentary looks at the history of the Federal Reserve and how the currency went from being controlled and distributed by the government to being controlled by a group of private banks. Russo illustrates how the Federal Income tax is just another way that the Federal Reserve produces a profit at the expense of the American people. The U.S. congress has little to no control over the Federal Reserve, which has effectively created a monopoly on the U.S. money supply. Russo shows how this is tied to the increasing securitization and control of the American people leading up to the final tool of control, the National Identity card that every American has to carry. This argument in this film is that the Federal Reserve is unconstitutional and enslaves Americans through control of credit and production of debt. Aaron Russo ends the film with a call to abolish the Federal Reserve and put the power of currency back into the government's hands.
