Abstract:
The Toronah Support Group is a part of the "500 Years of Resistance and Survival Campaign" which was formed to respond to the planned celebrations of Columbus' "discovery" of America in 1492. The Toronah Support Group is planning educational work, cultural activities, exchanges of information, culture, and art. "Rather than celebrate the arrival of Columbus, we aim to support First Nations' rights to self-determination and seek reparations for slavery and indentureship."
