They offer a pool of available jobs, job-finding aids, and information on Canada Manpower programs well as other employment related problems. The Survival Guide is basically a resource book to aid young people during times of unemployment. It lists job-finding resources, services for men, women, single-parents, day-care, prisoners. Health and legal aid, second hand stores, hostels, distress centres are included. There are also sections dealing with how to handle problems related to landlords, compensation and unemployment insurance.
