This national conference will launch a series of events across Canada to promote public awareness and participation in environmental protection leading up to the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development in 1992. The conference focus will be on developing community-based solutions that encourage citizens' initiatives and actions where they live. Special emphasis will be placed on involving Canadian environment and development NGOs in the mobilization process.
