Resources Exchange Project (REP) is an information-sharing network for community organizations, social action groups, community workers and others interested in Atlantic Canada. This is the newsletter of that organization.

Abstract:
"Resources Exchange Project (REP) is an information-sharing network for community organizations, social action groups, community workers and others interested in Atlantic Canada... We believe that social change can best be accomplished through solid organization at the community level ... We believe in the independence of community groups... We hope that the development of the REP network will result in the development of strong and relevant community organizations that will provide a focus for the energies of rural people. REP publishes a newsletter, essays, and other materials where demand is shown. A central library has been developed which can be used by participants by mail. During the initial stages of developing the network a number of full-time staff members are involved. This initial stage is terminated as of April 1, 1977. An additional transitional year will allow for the network to become fully controlled by the people who use it." Much of this issue is taken up with abstracts of materials available for community developers and would have interest for those working the Atlantic provinces. Besides that, there is a reprint of an article on freedom of information (and the extent of government secrecy in Canada). It is taken from the Community Planning Review.
