Abstract: 
The Canadian Institute for International Peace and Security has announced that it is inaugurating the Barton Awards, intended to promote scholarship and expertise in the fields of international peace and security. The Barton Awards consist of eight scholarships of up to $14,000 for advanced studies and two fellowships of up to $30,000 for senior level studies. Professional experience and academic qualifications will be considered equally. The deadline for application is February 1, 1990.
