Abstract:
NURSES FOR SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY is a group of nurses who are committed to advocacy, education and to the implemntation of changes strategies with respect to social, sexual, racial, economic, peace and justice issues. They advocate a definition of health which encompasses more than the absense of disease. Nurses for Social Responsibility believes that health is a universal right and not just a privilege. Health promotion inlcudes health education, legal and environmental controls, and influence in social and economic factors.
