Abstract:
WHO GETS THE WORK is the report on a study that directly tested whether the colour of people's skin or their accent affected access to emploiyment. Results of the study, completed by the Social Planning Council and the Urban Alliance on Race Relations, indicate considerable discimination in employment practices in Toronto (and likely elsewhere in Canada), and that blacks have three times as much trouble finding a job as whites.
