Abstract: 
The CFMDC was formed in 1967, to promote the work of independent filmmakers across the country and distributes over 400 films. An east coast sister organization has a collection of 100 films. Withouth the CFMDC many of these Canadian films would have no outlet at all. It is a non-profit distributor with no interest beyong those of a filmmakers themselves. Catalogues are available.
