Abstract:
PEOPLE IN ACTION FOR COMMUNITY EMPLOYMENT (PACE) is a locally-based movement for community economic development in Salmon Arm, B.C. PACE is bringing citizens together to take initiatives for short - and long term employment. A similar project has been developed in Naniamo, B.C., where an unemployed workers committee is setting up a food co-op and a firewood business, and has already organized a nursery and wood craft operation.
This organization no longer exists.
