Abstract:
A group dedicated to antisexist politics VANCOUVER MEN AGAINST RAPE is committed to educating and organizing to combat the oppressions of sexism, racism, and economic explotation. They practice criticisim/self-criticism to eliminate sexism in themselves and in society. Through collective struggle members work against misogyny and homophobia to challenge the power of the male role. Their work includes facilitating men's radical therapy workshops; criticism/self-criticism with men who have raped or battered; dicussions on rape, sexism and anti-sexist chidldrearing; organizing men into active anti-sexist work; and support and fundraising for Rape Relief House and the Canadian Farmworkers Union.
