Abstract:
The Saskatoon Nicaragua Support Committee (SNSC) was formed in 1979. Initially, the Committee focussed its efforts on material aid to Nicaragua. In April 1980, SNSC sponsored a national conference that dealt with solidarity issues with respect to Nicaragua.
The conference was held in Saskatoon and involved 150 participants. On the first anniversary of the Nicaraguan revolution, the Committee sponsored a tour to Nicaragua; most participants in the tour were from Western Canada.
In 1981, the Committee broadened its work to include a focus on other countries in Central America. Current activities of the SNSC include planning demomstrations, providing material aid, anf making literature available at public events. The Committee is open to communicating and working with groups who share similar concerns.

This organization no longer exists.
