The press, by no accident at all, failed to mention that he was a Socialist Humanist. Moreover, in writing MARX'S CONCEPT OF MAN (which succeeded in introducing Marx's Humanist Essays to a wide American public), and in editing the first international symposium on SOCIALIST HUMANISM, he did so, not as an academician, but as an activist.
