Abstract:  This monthly newspaper is produced by Fed-up, a federation of member-run food coops in B.C.; Catalyst reports to network members on various decisions and directions taken within the federation. The "Fed-up Catalogue" provides a lengthy list of food and other items available to Fed-up members; also included is a reci-section and the "coop contact list" of Fed-up members. Feature articles include:
1) a history and description of the "Alternate Community" a cooperative commune near Lumby, B.C.
2) a study of the aims and methods of self-criticism within the federation coops.
3) an essay on the care of livestock and particularly chickens.
