Quarterly newsletter published to promote the aims of the movement for social justice and peace.

Abstract:  Calumet is a quarterly newsletter published by the Christian Movement for Peace. It attempts to promote the aims of the movement for social justice and peace. In an article entitled "Christians and Socialism", Paul Gibson discusses the Church's attitudes towards different economic systems. Other articles include a story by Tom Scanlon, a leader in the struggle to save homes from expressways in Toronto and a timely and informative article on health care in Chile. Articles dealing more specifically with C.M.P. involvement take an account of the annual congress of the International CMP, an eyewitness report of last summer's workcamp in Scotland and two features on how to become informed and involved.
