Abstract:  An impressionistic view of Quebec people and their concerns. A prod for English-Canadians to stimulate creative thinking about the kind of society we want to live in. Some historical context is given to Quebec economic, language and cultural issues. The effects of foreign-based entrepreneurs on resource development, working conditions, and regional disparities are looked at. The asbestos industry is reviewed. There is a primer on Quebec Unions and a look at the emergence of the Labor Movement gives an analysis of major issues and struggles facing Quebec. The paper concludes by looking at other sources of change in Quebec. A list of resources on Quebec are listed.
