Crisis compels a return to Marx
We are publishing our Draft Perspectives Thesis. We do it because our age is in such total crisis, facing a choice between absolute terror or absolute freedom, that a revolutionary organization can no longer allow any separation between theory and practice, philosophy and revolution, workers and intellectuals, "inside" and "outside." No halfway opposition to DOMA!
On March 2, some married, same-sex couples in Massachusetts filed suit against the federal government to overturn DOMA, the notorious "Defense of Marriage Act" passed by the Clinton Administration. Unfortunately, this is yet another example of the failure of the Queer movement to challenge injustice at its root.
