Boycott ASSI Market
Los Angeles--Assi Supermarket fired 60 immigrant workers, both Latino and Korean, on the pretext that Social Security had sent letters to double-check their security numbers. In actuality those who were fired were primarily supporters of the ongoing union organizing drive. Workers are maintaining a daily picketline with active workers as well as the fired workers and their supporters. |
