Kyoto peace action
Kyoto, Japan--Activists from various groups in Kyoto and
Osaka gathered on Sept. 26 to speak out against the war in Iraq. Some kind of
action or discussion against the war takes place here on a monthly basis. While
I feel it is not a popular war here, the media speaks for the U.S. and most
Japanese do not speak out against the war. But if you talk to average Japanese
people, they will usually tell you that they are uncomfortable with this war. --Jen and K. |
