I am sending you the enclosed.[1] I have no copy.
This requires an opinion fairly soon (2 or 3 days, I think).
That is the first thing.
The whole matter is to be solved officially.
That is the second.
Please hurry.
Ivan Ivanovich Radchenko is an old Bolshevik: he must be helped.
Yours,
Lenin
[1] A reference to a letter from I. I. Radchenko, Chairman of the Central Board for the Peat Industry, of October 26, 1922, asking Lenin for help in acquiring abroad an improved peat-extracting machine made by Strohl & Co. in order to mechanise peat operations, and for allocating the necessary funds for its purchase and to cover the cost of sending a commission for testing the machine on the spot. On October 27, 1922, the Council of Labour and Defence decided to allocate from its reserve fund 7,000 gold rubles for the purpose.
