Comrade Ryazanov:

I very strongly support Comrade Adoratsky’s request, who has done a great deal of useful work.[1] It is important to collect all the letters of Marx and Engels, and no one will do this better than you.

With communist greetings,
Lenin

Notes

[1] V. V. Adoratsky, who, on Lenin’s assignment, was working on a collection of selected letters of Marx and Engels, asked D. B. Ryazanov, then in Germany, to collect all the published letters of Marx and Engels and send them to Russia. The collection was published in 1922 under the title Pisma. Teoria i politika v perepiske Marksa i Engelsa (Letters. Theory and Politics in the Correspondence of Marx and Engels). Translation, introductory article and notes by V. V. Adoratsky.
