Comrade Gorbunov:

Help to improve this, and when it is brought up to X, let me know.

Lenin

...A new photoelement has been invented which, coupled with an amplifier valve, makes it possible at some distance (20–30 metres) to record the emanation of radio (oscillation) energy. With the action of this photoelement, an amplifying device directed at a (black or white) object will throw its reflection on a screen with the aid of a

receiving radio station. With an improved instrument, the following results could be achieved: 1) with a radio telephone, a moving image of a speaking person could be seen on the screen; 2) an enemy squadron, moving hundreds of versts away, could be reflected on the screen.

... The invention has been made by a Russian engineer, Mikhail Alexandrovich Bonch-Bruyevich.

With comradely greetings,
A. Nikolayev
