Congratulations on the capture of Alexandria and Znamenka.[1] I emphatically request that the released forces be sent to the Donets Basin.

Lenin

Notes

[1] Alexandria and Znamenka were centres of the counter– revolutionary revolt of Ataman Grigoriev. On the night of May 21, 1919, Soviet troops fought their way into Alexandria, where Grigoriev had his headquarters.
