[1] Lenin refers to his recovery from wounds received when an attempt was made on his life by the Socialist-Revolutionary terrorist Fanny Kaplan on August 30, 1918.
His telegram was a reply to a telegram from the leaders of the Political Department of the 5th Army, wishing him a speedy recovery.
