Natsarenus, Military Commissar Extraordinary
Petrozavodsk
I am passing your telegram on to the Commissariat for Food. The food situation now is as bad as it can be. We shall hardly be able to help. Everything that is best and most reliable has to be organised for sending detachments to the Czechoslovak front. Without victory over the Czechoslovaks there will be no grain.

Chairman, Council of People’s Commissars
