I have received Yakovlev’s memorandum.[1] I approve the plans of preparation and mobilisation. If they advance, offer resistance. I have passed it on to the Commissariat for Military Affairs. We shall try to help by sending money although our difficulties are extremely great.

Please send information more frequently.

[1] N. N. Yakovlev, Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of Siberian Soviets, informed Lenin of the measures taken to organise resistance to the Japanese interventionists in connection with the landing of their troops in Vladivostok.
