Regarding Kommunist, it’s not worth arguing any more, seeing that you deny the fact that they insisted to the last on equality and refused to make any change in the Editorial Board. You can’t get away from the facts: (1) equality; (2) Tyszka im Hintergrunde.[2]
I sent the 200 frs.
The Shklovsky scandal makes me furious and worries me.[3] And you wanted to hand all the funds over to him!! Energetic action is called for: he should be told that the money is needed by the New Year, and you should keep at him until he returns it all! What a damned scandal! A real “financial swindle”, and right under our noses.
I agree to your plan for a collective letter to Arbeiterpolitik.
Best regards,
Lenin
P.S.

[3] In connection with the “Shklovsky scandal” Zinoviev wrote: = “...Shklovsky is in some sort of crisis and he—without telling us a word—has put all the Party money into circulation! I am sure that he will soon return it. Meanwhile, the situation is such that we haven’t a centime even for postal expenses....”
