Meet me in liberation square: The work of Ali Mustafa

March 09, 2015 to April 12, 2015

A year has passed since the tragic loss of Ali Mustafa on March 9, 2014 while working in Syria as an independent photojournalist and blogger. A Toronto-based activist and photojournalist, Ali's personality, life and work touched everyone he encountered. His humanity, inquisitive nature and passion and commitment to social justice made him unforgettable. His photographs remain as a great testament to those qualities and his sacrifice.
The exhibition includes a memorial event at Beit Zatoun on Monday, March 9 from 7 to 9pm, where family, friends and allies can gather to mark Ali's passing. The memorial is an opportunity to remember and celebrate Ali's life and work and his relentless commitment to justice for all.
